Safeguarding Policy
Safeguarding principles for online learning, children, teachers, communication, and reporting concerns.
Ongoing review
Al-Itqan keeps safeguarding and online safety arrangements under review as services develop.
Children's online learning
Under-18 learners require parent or guardian details. Parents or guardians are kept aware of how classes are arranged, how communication happens, and how concerns can be raised.
Teacher suitability and access
Teachers must be suitability-checked before teaching and only access learners and class information assigned to them.
Communication boundaries
Parents, learners and teachers should not arrange private direct contact outside Al-Itqan's approved communication process. Class questions, progress queries, concerns, scheduling requests and complaints should go through support@alitqan.org.uk or the approved Al-Itqan contact route.
Boundaries
No private unsupervised contact with children takes place outside Al-Itqan channels. WhatsApp/message contact is used responsibly and with appropriate parent or guardian awareness for under-18s.
Private class-link access
Private class and resource links are shared only with assigned learners and teachers. Learners only receive access to assigned classes.
Reporting concerns
Safeguarding concerns can be sent to support@alitqan.org.uk or raised by WhatsApp/message. If someone is at immediate risk, contact the appropriate emergency services without delay.
